It was Melissa’s birthday november 1st. The day before Shirley made princess cupcakes for the children in Melissa’s Class. In the afternoon we had some visitors and Melissa had a very nice day with a lot of presents, mainly her favourate little ponies. Quint enjoyed everything as well and he is very observant. A few days later we had the party for Melissa’s friends at Kids playland in Delft. Quint stayed at home with grandma & grandpa. Melissa had the time of her life.

Quint is doing great just like last month. We also went to Brussel for a general checkup. Dr. Sokal was very pleased that the two antibiotics are working(Quint gets 2 weeks ciproxin en 2 weeks zinnat). We also were informed that Quint moved up on the waiting list to nr. 2. We knew that he had moved up one spot because Tiba was transplanted a few days ago. We read about her often, and we met her with her father in the hospital.

Originally we had to make an appointment for a endoscopic check but dr. Sokal found this not necessary anymore since quint was doing fine and he moved up on the list. The only additional thing we have to give is vitamin K.
Instead of going to Brussels one day before our appointment we left early in the morning the same day. So no Rousseau and all went smoothly.

After visiting Tiba we stayed longer in the hospital because we would meet our friend Heidi who would arrive from spain. After she called we visited her shortly close to Antwerpen where she stayed. An hour later we were again on our way home otherwise it would become to late for Quint.

14 November I had to return to Dubai. Here I visited the doctor, my manager and a psychologist to inform them about the progress of Quint. The company has been very helpful, but I want to keep everyone concerned informed. 
The first few days back are very quiet and I have to force myself to do things. Slowly that starts. Every other day I either cycle or go to the fitness.

In The Netherlands, "Sinterklaas" en his "Pieten" arrived. This is a typical dutch children event.(you can compaire it with Santa Claus) It is very nice for Melissa to enjoy this event. She went to "Scheveningen" to welcome him because he was arriving by boat. Together with her neighbour/girl-friend Luna and with some other children, they had a breakfast in the Atlantic Hotel in Kijkduin with Sinterklaas and his Pieten. For melissa November was a very nice month.First the celebration of her birthday with her family en now meeting the dutch "Sinterklaas".And luckily everything is going very well with quint. == Oscar ==
